A little bit about us

The Shoalhaven Medical Association was founded over 50 years ago to organise ongoing medical education for GPs. It provided a social network for doctors families. We are an independent, not for profit organisation run by a committee of local doctors.

The SMA is dedicated to the continual education of doctors in the Shoalhaven region, and to provide support to all our colleagues.

Each year the SMA runs two popular medical conference for GPs and specialists, nurses, allied health workers and medical students. These conferences are free and are funded by sponsors and SMA subscriptions.

The SMA has now expanded our education to regular Webinars with local specialists. And, a Clinical Reasoning Webinar “A Case of …” presented by GP registrars and medical students from the University of Wollongong. As members of the SMA you will get exclusive access to this content.
